Have you played League of Legends but don’t know much about champions who are effective? We have a League of Legends top lane tier list in patch 12.18.
Check below to see if the champion you are using is the top champion on the top lane. Because basically, every patch update means having a list of top champions that can enter the meta or not.
In this 12.18 patch, not many changes have occurred in the top lane. In fact, there is a big difference between Bruiser and Juggernaut fighters. This is quite influential on the meta changes. We will try to explain it to you.
List Of Tier S Champions On Patch 12.18 – Best Champions On Top Lane
The best Champions from the top lane are not too many. We will try to choose the best of the 40 champions available for you to play in ranked mode.
Best Champions In Top Lane Patch 12.18: No. 3 – Shen
You may be confused as to why we put Shen in the first place. It does not receive updates, either buffs or nerfs or changes to hero items in this patch. We will explain a little why
Shen is a very strong and consistent champion in Top Lane. That’s because of his ability to fight without needing a lot of items. In addition, his ultimate global skill will be very helpful in the fight. The Top Lane is the most crucial and unfriendly for new players.
The key to the team’s victory is in this path. The hero used is a strong hero for a team fight, either alone or when hit by a gang.
In previous patches, the best blind pick in the top lane was held by Gragas. However, he became OP champion because of the sustainability, and then he got a nerf and lost his place in the blind pick. That’s when Shen stepped in and became the new top blind pick.
Shen’s battle stats are not that bad. And also, his ability to fight without needing a lot of items is very helpful for the team.
You can also use Shen to do solo splits. Even better, these champions are very good combined with any champions. You don’t have to worry about your top lane if your friend chooses Shen. Or, if you have to fill the top lane, try using Shen. This champion is great when you play solo and doesn’t require much gold farming.
Another reason is Shen can easily level up from level 1 to level 2. This will make it easier for you to win the lane against any champion. You can also do E-Q combos to kill opponents faster and win lanes. Since the initial release, Zac has entered the meta faster and can play as a jungle or support.
In high-level matches, Zac can have versatility in builds. He can be very strong when between building AP damage or building a sustainable tank. The use of champion Zac is very effective in the recent popular meta.
Best Champions in Top Lane Patch 12.18: No. 2 – Udyr
You Udyr users should be proud because these champions got a lot of rework on patch 12.16. Then in the next patch at 12.17, Udyr got a pretty significant buff which made him the best pick in the top lane.
Initially, this champion was more popular playing in the jungle with Sunfire, Demonic, and Ultimate Phoenix Stance. It can be used for strategies to interfere with the AoE ability of the enemy. He can break through the front to fight and hinder his enemy from manoeuvring.
If you play this champion on Top Lane, you will get a more interesting playing style. This is due to some changes brought by patch 12.17, which give buffs to its AD builds.
Udyr’s AD damage build utilizes Q Wildclaw Stances. We recommend you build the following items: Trinity Force, Blade of The Ruined King, and Tytanic Hydra. This item deals with unreasonable burst damage. Only by making 4 ability attacks from Udyr’s Wildclaw and Awakened will they deal 100 percent damage to the opponent in a single attack.
In other words, Udyr can destroy champions with thick HP-like tanks as long as they are alone. Try building AD on Udyr, and you will get very high burst damage. This ability will make it easy for you to gank and kidnap an enemy champion.
Unfortunately, the weakness of this champion is that his base HP is quite soft. If you force build damage, this champion does not have sustain items that support his short range. So we recommend if you want to play Udyr on Top Lane, you should avoid direct 5 vs 5 battles or be wary of the potential ganking of 2 to 3 enemy heroes.
Best Champions In Top Lane Patch 12.18: No. 3 – Singed
Singed are fairly consistent in-game champions. Even though he was out of the meta for quite a while and returned to patch 12.17 ago. Singed is a typical CC hero who helps a lot for the team.
In match stats, he had pretty good stats and deserves to be in this League of Legends top lane tier list. So you don’t have to doubt the performance of this champion. This champion is our number 3 top list for the top lane.
The thing that might hold you back from choosing this champion is its slightly complicated abilities. He’s not the typical champion you can play the first time you play LOL. It takes a lot of practice and understanding of the building of Singed itself. If you already know the function of each skill and the corresponding build, you can try it in a rank game.
Remember! if the opposing team chooses Singed, never go after him
Best Champions In Top Lane Patch 12.18: – Other Top Lane Champions
That was Top Tier S on the list of best champions on Top Lane. There are still many alternative champions that you can use. Even though their abilities are slightly below that of Top Tier S, these champions are still comfortable to use as counters or cheesy picks.
List Of Tier A Champions On Patch 12.18
If you are not familiar with using tier S heroes, the tier A hero list might be a reference for you. Tier A heroes will have a low ban rate and rarely get nerfs.
- Mordekaiser- Win Rate: 51.20%, Pick Rate: 6.47%
- Tahm Kench- Win Rate: 53.96%, Pick Rate: 3.20%
- Garen- Win Rate: 51.10%, Pick Rate: 7.73%
- Singed – Win Rate: 53.76%, Pick Rate: 2.50%
- Poppy – Win Rate: 52.20%, Pick Rate: 1.02%
A top lane is a place for heroes with long fighting abilities and high sustain. Some tanks are also good but the ability to attack with burst damage is an added point in this patch.
List Of F Tier Champions On Patch 12.18
In a League of Legends top lane tier list, there must be a bad one. Try to avoid selecting this champion to increase your chances of victory.
- Volibear- Win Rate: 48.94%, Pick Rate: 4.05%
- Jayce – Win Rate: 47.66%, Pick Rate: 1.64%
- Kennen – Win Rate: 47.36%, Pick Rate: 2.05%
- Gwen – Win Rate 46.3%, Pick Rate: 4.56%
Gwen occupies the lowest position as the hero choice in the top lane. That’s because Riot dealt a severe nerf for two consecutive patches. Riot really wants to get this hero out of sight. We hope that Gwen will make improvements in the next patch. Although it doesn’t make it an OP hero, it can be used as an alternative pick.
